Improved ergonomics when the robot is packing bottles for delivery

05. August 2019

Folding up boxes and picking in bottles is both time consuming and tiring. With a robot for packaging and palletizing bottles in a box, a small brewery can instead invest more in what you are good at - to manufacture and market their products. Air Grip World is a small all-in-one robot station that fills and packs boxes for delivery.

Delivery, installation and commissioning of the robot station Air Grip World took only a few hours at Ängöl in Kalmar.

From the filling machine, the bottles travel on a conveyor belt to the robot station. Then the robot does the rest. That is, it raises up each box, fills them with bottles, seals the top and bottom and stacks up the boxes on the europapall ready for delivery.

The capacity of Air Grip World is about 1200 bottles per hour, or a pre-packed box in minutes n. Except for cardboard gluing equipment, all equipment from Yaskawa : a state-of-the-art MOTOMAN industrial robot with control, it patents the bottle tools an Air Grip, operator panel with HMI , MicroPLC and drives.
Everything placed on a movable platform with protective plexi walls.

YASKAWA will take part in Sweden's Independent Small Breweries Supply Fair
On May 17 you can meet us at the hotel Elite in Gävle where we show how to use robots for sorting, picking and packaging bottles . Torbjorn, Per and our smallest robot MotoMini will there to talk about opportunities with robots for micro breweries.

The fair is open between 13.00 and 18.00, and all breweries - even those who are not members of the association are welcome!
